NEW EAST AFRICAN PASSPORT

The new East Africa International Passport contains an electronic chip that has all the particulars of the passport holder; this was not the case with the previous Uganda passport. Applicants for the new East Africa passport will not be compelled to physically be in Kampala for the biometric data to be captured. The applicant’s biodata is extracted from their duly filled-out passport application form G.

The UCISK helps Ugandans with filling out and receiving guidance and with the process of sending the documents to the embassy, then back to Korea, and finally sending the documents to Uganda. You need to have someone in Kampala who will process the passport on your behalf. The Embassy does not issue passports; they issue a recommendation letter, which enables the passport to be processed in Kampala in the absence of the applicant.
