About US
The Uganda Community in South Korea (UCISK) is a non-political, non-religious, not-for-profit organization committed to serving Ugandans living, working, visiting, and studying in South Korea regardless of age, sex, religion, national origin, disability, and immigration status.
The UCISK was founded in 2010 to promote goodwill, harmony, unity, and cooperation among Ugandans in South Korea. This organization promotes fellowship and celebrates diversity and togetherness. Our community is an inclusive home away from Uganda.
We strive to bring all Ugandans together as a community and provide a platform where we promote unity, promote our culture, provide information on business opportunities, study in Korea, economic activities, working in Korea, and discuss any issue that binds us together.
Through this interaction, the organization is looking at addressing needs peculiar to our members, such as business opportunities, studying in Korea, Korean history and culture, visas, immigration laws, and tenant and landlord housing issues. We also support Ugandans on issues related to Korean culture and integration into Korean society.
The UCISK was officially registered in 2017 as a non-governmental organization at the Yongsan District Tax Office.
