Ugandan Community in S.Korea



image001 Kaziro Paul is the Chairman of the Ugandan Community in South Korea (UCISK), and also the Managing Director of Moriah Group (U). He holds a master’s degree in management information systems from Ajou University in South Korea and an MBA from Atlantic International University Hawaii, USA specializing in areas of International business.

Having arrived in South Korea, Paul was appointed to be the association Treasure a role that he took at hand, built a system that the association could rely on in terms of keeping the association finances. It’s with this that after 2years of service, he made history being the first UCISK Chairman to be elected in a true and fair election.

Paul grew up in a poor background in Ggaba Kampala District, but because of determination and hard work, he was able to complete school, participated in various community based projects intended to help the less privileged get motivated and improve their life standards by educating them and starting small projects that could benefit them in the long run.

Kaziro has 12 year working experience in Information Systems, Business Management, and community development programs. He is a goal centric person, motivated and ready to go an extra mile to achieve the un-achievable.

Acting vice chairperson

image003 Mrs. Nabudere was born in Buteza Sironko District, Uganda and she’s currently based in South Korea. She holds a Masters of Human Resource Management from Uganda Management Institute (2007) and a Bachelors degree in Development Studies from Mbarara University of Science and Technology (2004), and a Certificate of Lean, Kaizen through Add Value Consulting Institute India Mrs Nabudere is currently the Coordinator for Ugandans living in the Dongducheon area of South Korea.

Mrs. Nabudere is currently a volunteer teacher at the Multicultural Global Leader Center in Suwon City, and a freelancer English Teacher.  She is the CEO of ‘CENTER FOR PEOPLE‘S ENLIGHTENMENT AND COMMUNITY EDUCATION (CEPEACE)’ an NGO based in Sironko District, Uganda. CEPEACE empowers women and provide facilities for enlightenment and encouragement of grassroots organizations in promoting economic development. She believes that Democratization in the family, civil society and state is a perquisite in the process of enlightenment. She worked at Barclays Bank Jinja Road Branch (2009) as a sales advisor – her main role was to deliver world class customer service practices and to ensure adherence Barclays Service standard through identifying and meeting customer needs. Mrs Nabudere also worked at Uganda Baati Limited Kampala as the Export Assistant, Advertising officer and later the Production Assistant where she carried out a successful products branding.

Student affairs/acting secretary

image006 Ssenjako  Nakitende Josephine holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Makerere University Uganda and is pursuing a Masters in Counseling and Psychology at Seoul Han young University South Korea. She is the Students representative and coordinator to the Uganda Community in South Korea. She has experience in International Teaching and relations, a motivational speaker, psychologist and mentor.


image007 Mary is an International Travel Consultant, an Educator, a Nurse, a Humanitarian and a Community organizer; born in Kasese, Uganda, she is currently based in South Korea.

She holds an Advanced International Air Transport Association (IATA) Diploma from the IATA-University of Geneva Advanced Studies in Aviation Management, a Standard Diploma from the IATA/UFTAA Training Center ,Geneva ,Switzerland, a certificate in Nursing and Midwifery from Kagando Hospital School of Nursing and Midwifery, Kasese, Uganda. She holds a certificate in French language from Alliance Francaise Kampala, a TESOL Certificate from United Kingdom, and a certificate in GALILEO computer software for Airline Reservation System from British Airways UK, and she's currently pursuing a Masters in TESOL; she has 15years experience in Teaching English as a second foreign langauge, shes fluent in French, Lingala, Swahili and Korean.

Aliona Mary is currently serving as Treasurer and financial officer of UCISK; she’s responsible for the general financial oversight, planning, budgeting, reporting, banking and record keeping. Given these responsibilities, she typically acts as an information and reference point to the chair and other committee members; clarifying financial implications of proposals; out lining the current financial status and retrieving relevant documents.

As a humanitarian, she founded the Aliona Mary Youth initiative (ALIMAYI) in 2014 which helps the youth in Bukonzo West Kasese to realize their dreams through hard work, poverty alleviation, brick laying project, and learning basic computer skills. In South Korea, she has spread love by visiting the sick in hospitals, those in prisons and reaching out to people in time of emergency; she’s determined to make UCISK a strong association.

Moblization and public relations

image011 Kakooza Hamzah was born and raised in Kampala Uganda, a former Member of the Ugandan Community in Turkey; he has extensive experience in the Diaspora related issues, networking and management. Hamzah is currently in charge of mobilization and public relations, he hold a Diploma in Information Technology from Aptech Institute of Computer studies in Kampala Uganda. He mobilizes and facilitates the engagements of UCISK members, planning and development of meetings, workshops and seminars ideas for the community. He has extensive experience in events management; planning and resource mobilization to ensure the events of UCISK are successful.

Coordinator Ansan & Head of Development Projects


John Bbaale has been involved in UCISK activities since the beginning of the association, his role as a coordinator for Ansan, involves mobilizing members and new comers in that region ensuring that their continued support to UCISK is felt. As development officer, Bbaale ensures that there is development work plan and all members follows and supports it. He also seek to actively engage communities in making sense of the issues which affect their lives, setting goals for improvement and responding to problems and needs through empowerment and active participation.

Sports and Entertainment


Musa kyakuwa  is in charge of Sports and entertainment on the Uganda Community in south Korea comittee born in Bukomansimbi Masaka Uganda, Musa hold a diploma in mechanical Engineering. He is very passionate a bout helping others and he has uplifted the Ugandan frag through the community Soccer team "The Uganda Cranes Korea".
